Worth Fighting For

We all live for something, whether it be in regards to faith or a certain dream or goal. Some of us live day by day only to try and reach that goal, somehow... something worth fighting for. How far would you go to achieve your dreams? How much would you sacrifice? And why would you sacrifice so much, or so little for your dream?

P.S. I'd really like it if as many of you reading would post any insight into the issue. Any relevant sentence, or even word, I'm sure would be helpful.

Transparentation #3: Would a bird sing if it wasn't happy?

Well, My goal for now is to have the best career. I am putting time and effort in it. Investing my energy and knowledge. But, deep down, I know that one day it won't be my priority anymore (enshalla!)

This is my goal for now, wish me luck ;)

Ohh that and being fit and healthy ;)

Ohh and I forgot to add that: "I dont know about the little birdie, but I only sing my lungs out when I am happy" ;)

Go all the way.. sacrifice a lot.. as long as you are sure that this is what you really want and it is your dream.. your life and ambition.. all about passion.. otherwise it isn't what you dream of and just a simple desire.. there is a difference.. if you really dream of something you would take it all the way to the end.. no matter how long it would take and how much energy it would drain out of you.. again keeping in mind this is something reasonable and achievable..

as for the bird.. one word for you: sublimation.. (the bird would sing even better with a little inspiration and pain)

I am going as for as possible, and I am sacrificing my youth to get there. I am doing it because I made a promise and I always keep my word.

I would have never thought that you could be that influenced by others!

hi there...
first of all, i just love ur profile picture..
second, hmmm about dreams.. well, i think i would try my best and push myself as hard as possible to reach this dream, however, i have to keep in mind that it shall by no means harm me or other loved ones sorrounding me.. for me dreams shift and varry through time.. i know what's my dream now, in a couple of years i can see it being different.. dreams keep us alive i'd say :)
"You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"
George Bernard Shaw
life is about dreams and possibilties.. so dream and live ur life to the fullest :D

Cuteberry,
Best of luck! I think dividing your goals into stages is one of the best things to do! Just remember to move forward and not stay in one spot too long! :)

DiiGMaa,
Without being passionate about it, I don't think it will work, don't you think so. I'm more like you, and belive in huge sacrifices for something that you believe in, but it has to be something reasonable and achievable. Thats really something.

Salty-C,
How do you know something is unattainable? What is realistic and what isn't? I know for example saying that I want to live on the moon is unrealistic to a degree, It could happen, but 1 in a gazillion chance..

Blue Ice Envy,
Would you sacrifice more than your youth? When you talk about a dream, where do they come from? A vision of something related to an incident you've been through, or seen, or heard about, we believe in something that is why we do it or seek to achieve it, right?

Reem,
Thank you, it is a great picture :)

That's true, it is quite compassionate of you to think of others and loved ones surrounding you, could I say then, that your dream, is to not harm those around you, and is somehow people-related? If it isn't, how do you achieve it, if it indeed did require to sacrifice that will harm a loved one! I think that is the hard question here..

Howahkan,
I really admire that, even with quite a few obstacles you move forth and set to reach your goal, better yet, when you get to one goal, you work to get to the next, or make your goal bigger and better.

Cixousian Panic,
Maybe a little obnoxious but thats good, getting what you want can be a great thing, but sometimes it comes with a price doesn't it :P I think that all dreams come with a price tag!

LaiaLy_q8,
I know how that can be, but isn't it a dream because it is worth fighting for? Wouldn't you think that if you keep trying it would be better than giving up, or better yet, think of new ways of doing things? I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that we fail only to realize our limited abilities, but when success comes, the taste of success and victory pervails all..

I'd hope to get a taste of that soon myself...

You asked if a bird would sing if he was not happy. Actually it has nothing to do with happiness. Only male birds sing to attract female birds, so I think the question should be: would birds sing if they were not horney?

As for goals and sacrafices, I think Middle Eastern soceities need a big deal of idea-destruction to get rid of old, unuseful belifs that have been hindering their development.

I do my best to destruct as much ideas as I can, and by doing so I'm sacraficing the love and respect of many ppl whome I consider the guardians of the status quo.

Did I make any sense??

FaYoora,
You sort of discover them through yourself! Know, or get to know yourself, and you'll know your goals/dreams :)

Devil Finch,
You're talking science, I'm talking about that bird in a much deeper level, the question isn't really supposed to get answered ;P
Belive it or not, Middle Eastern societies don't need idea-deconstruction, but construction. It is the lack of mind and ideas thats brings about mindless undevelopment.

I respect however that you're making big sacrifices for that, so indeed you would go far, far enough to reach one of your goals!

Reem,
El7emdellah it is always good knowing that a dream doesn't involve hurting someone, although sometimes you have no choice! :/ As for those idiots, they an obstacle that is worth getting over, don't kill though, peace is stronger in that sense :)

I like to think that the caged bird sings for its freedom, to break free from everything and provide solace to itself .. Maya Angelo wrote a book called 'I know why the caged bird sings' which implies that if you read her book you would gradually find the answer to your question ..

hehehe! sure no violence! absolute peace man! no worries ;)

Chica Bonita Q8,
Sings for his freedom? Non-caged birds sing too, am I not getting it? :/

Reem,
Of course, No worries ;P

I am sacrificing much more than that.
I think I have already told you that.
